Nicole Vekemans has more than 30 years of experience in the field of interior design. A graduate of the École supérieure d’architecture de Bruxelles and recipient of numerous prestigious awards, Nicole Vekemans is, without a doubt, an internationally renowned designer coveted for her unique concepts, creative decors and innovative layouts.
Early in her career, she was involved in the redevelopment of the Frankfurt airport in Germany as well as in the new concept of the Roche-Bobois stores in Paris and Brussels. Afterwards, Nicole Vekemans moved to Montreal and in 1992, she created her own agency, Ardes Design.
Nicole Vekemans has designed several hotel and boutique hotel projects, golf clubs, restaurants and equestrian clubs in Canada and the United States. Internationally, her experience will continue in the Middle East where she will be entrusted with the design of several palaces, sports centers and offices.

A Montreal gem and St Catherine Street icon since 1879, this building was originally a jewelry store before becoming a 5‑star hotel.
In 2018 the interior redesign was undertaken in close collaboration with NEUF Architects and captures a perfect combination of comfort and elegance.
This major renovation preserved the late 19th‑century style, with ornate crown mouldings and majestic columns.
